Reporters

We’re in this together!

We’re in partnership with you! We advocate for a healthy, vibrant ecosystem created among professional journalists, local bloggers and their readers, and the myriad community members, organizations and businesses who have found voice, engagement and connection with online publishing and social media tools. We’re happy to be a part of this ecosystem and to help you in your jobs, as your good work helps us and the community as a whole.

Need an SME or blogger connection?

We get calls from reporters and others looking for SMEs and bloggers focused on particular topics. If you’re a reporter and need to find some niche bloggers, please email us with your request. We also encourage you to click on each category on hocoblogs.com to see a list of all the currently active bloggers in each category. We also pitch story ideas of great bloggers doing interesting things in the community and beyond.

Getting listed on HoCoBlogs

We have a News category on our site and would be happy to have your site, blog, YouTube channel or anything else with a feed listed on our site.

Hashtags: a key ingredient for helping the community find and share information

You write, you publish and you’re aiming for eyeballs, readers, brand recognition and engagement. We believe that hashtags are one of the key ingredients for creating a more informed community and for helping to direct specific information to specific audiences. We encourage you to use the many local hashtags found here and to suggest others if you see any we’ve missed.

Are you on this list?

Is your publication listed on this Twitter list of local news sources? What about all of your local-to-HoCo reporters?
